Wright Patterson Air Force Base: 
That's right... Wright Patterson Air Force Base is a Dayton Ohio community in and of it's self... Wright Patt or WPAFB as it is commonly know is a vital and welcome part of the Dayton Ohio area. You will often see military personnel out and about and very ofter see large groups together for lunch in the communities very close to the Air Base.

- Wright Patterson Air Force Base is located in Greene and Montgomery counties in Ohio. 8 miles NE of the Dayton Ohio central business district and within the city limits of Riverside and adjacent to Beavercreek and Fairborn.
- Named after the Wright Brothers and the Patterson family (owners of NCR, National Cash Register) and is referred to as the birth place of aviation...
- Wright Patterson AFB is headquarters for the Air Force Materiel Command, Air Force Institute of Technology and the National Museum of the United States Air Force (what used to be called the US Air Force Museum)
- As of 2005 WPAFB had a work force of 5517 military and 8102 civilians.

- Site for the Dayton Accords that negotiated the peace agreement that ended the 3 1/2 year Bosnian War.
- 1994 Wright Patterson Air Force Base sought $7.5 million to develop the "Gay Bomb"... the bomb was to inflict homosexuality on the enemy so they would become attracted to each other and be unable to fight effectively...
- Aliens... Roswell has nothing on us! In 1947 Wright Patt AFB was the other location for the wreckage and bodies of the mysterious "Alien" crash in Roswell, NM. Hanger 18 is now the location of interest for Alien fans...
- In 1948 WPAFB again received the remains of a 100ft saucer and 16 dead aliens...
- From 1947 to 1967 the Air Force investigated UFO's from Wright Patt under project "Blue Book" of the 12,618 sightings reported, 701 remained "unidentified".
- Hauntings... Building 70 is haunted by a little old woman... Building 209 by a ghostly boy... others have seen apparitions, hearing "people" walking where there is no one and shadowy figures appearing...
- Wright Patterson Air Force Museum too??? Yep, a young Vietnamese buy who died in a helicopter has been seen walking around at night... A Nazi fighter pilot has been waving to visitors... At least they are all NICE :-)
